Underage sex: Ex-exec jailed

SINGAPORE - A former executive on Monday became the 22nd man to be jailed over the high-profile underage prostitute scandal.

Foo Kim Meng, 47, was sentenced to 13 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to two charges of having paid sex with the 17-year-old.

A district court heard that the married man - who has a two-year-old son - was an executive at a property development firm when he paid $500 each time for her services in 2010 and 2011.

After seeing the girl advertised on a social escort website, he sent her pimp a text message and arranged to meet her at hotels in Bencoolen Street.

Two other similar charges were taken into consideration during his sentencing.
