Singaporean households that received MediShield Life letters with a deadline indicated are encouraged to confirm and update their household infor-mation by Friday, the Ministry of Health said in a statement yesterday.
This is so that the correct premium subsidies can be computed for them.
MediShield Life letters were sent to all Singaporean households last month.
Out of the 1.2 million households, about 740,000 households received customised letters with deadlines.
As of June 12, close to 50 per cent of households that have been invited to complete their household check have done so.
Households that miss the exercise will still receive the premium subsidies if they are eligible, as the subsidies will be computed based on the existing information in government records.
But to ensure that the correct subsidies are calculated, households that were invited to confirm their information are encouraged to do so, said the ministry.
They can do so at www.medishieldlife.sg
Besides premium subsidies, there are also Pioneer Generation subsidies and transitional subsidies to keep MediShield Life premiums affordable.
These do not depend on household circumstances and will be given automatically.
