Uproar over ‘date rape’ drug sold on Facebook

The man had uploaded the post on Sunday, saying that he welcomed anyone interested in the drug to contact him. However, he deleted the post 25 minutes later after outraged netizens said that they would lodge a police report against him.

According to the man's profile on Facebook, he was said to be working in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Although he did not mention the type of drug, it is believed to be either zolpidem or rohypnol, which is commonly implicated in sexual assault cases overseas.
