Vandalism of POSB ATMS believed to be linked to loanshark harassment: Police

SINGAPORE - Two POSB automated teller machines (ATMs) were vandalised over the weekend, in cases police believe is related to loanshark harassment.

The ATMs was found splashed with paint. In a Stomp report on Sunday, an ATM at Block 58 in Bedok South was found splashed with "icky green paint".

According to a police spokesperson, officers were alerted to the case along New Upper Changi Road at about 8am this morning, while another incident was found at Block 475, Tampines Street 44 early yesterday morning.

According to The Straits Times, DBS Bank, which owns both ATMs, has said it is working with the police on their investigations.
