Venerable Sik Kwang Sheng appointed to Presidential Council of Minority Rights

SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan Keng Yam has appointed Venerable Sik Kwang Sheng to the Presidential Council for Minority Rights with effect from July 15.

According to a press release by the Presidential Council for Minority Rights, the new appointment is for a three-year term.

Venerable Sik Kwang Sheng was presented with his Letter of Appointment and sworn in at the Istana today (July 15) at a ceremony officiated by the President.

Mr JY Pillay, Mr Othman Haron Eusofe, Professor Chan Heng Chee, Mr Barry Desker and Mr Philip Jeyaretnam have also been re-appointed for a new three-year term with effect from today.
