It was a love triangle gone wrong for a Vietnamese worker who was knifed to death by a compatriot at a dinner in Malim Jaya, Malacca on Sunday, Sinar Harian reported.
Ang Prung Dung, 26, and the suspect were said to have had a heated argument over a woman who was being wooed by both men.
The suspect then walked out in a huff but returned with a knife to the shophouse in Jalan Berkat 15 at about 9pm.
Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Salehhudin Abd Rahman said Ang was stabbed in the left chest.
He was rushed in a hired car to the Malacca Hospital, where he succumbed to his injury at around 11.30pm.
"We found the sheath of a three-inch knife during our search of the house where both men lived together with five other Vietnam nationals," said ACP Salehhudin.
