Vietnamese woman found dead in budget hotel in Malaysia

A woman was found dead in a budget hotel in Selayang with her hands and legs tied with towels, reported Kosmo!

The 30-year-old woman who is believed to be a Vietnamese employee of a karaoke outlet here was found naked and face down on the floor by a hotel employee in one of the rooms.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy said police received information about the incident at around 6.50pm and rushed to the scene.

He said that further investigations revealed that the room was booked at 9pm on Saturday under the name of a local man.

"The 38-year-old man registered as the sole occupant of the room and we believe the victim later joined him about 1am," he said.

ACP R. Munusamy said that police also discovered bruises on the victim's neck but no weapon was found in the room.

"The body was later sent to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) for a post mortem and the motive is still being investigated," he said, adding that police were looking for a man identifed as Tan Kok Keong from Taman Dahlia in Temerloh, Pahang, to help in investigations.
