Wanbao offers digital offerings

SINGAPORE - The Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao launched its smartphone and tablet apps on Monday and unveiled its new website - all part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.

The free apps are available for Apple and Android phones and tablets and can be downloaded at the iTunes store or Google Play.

The newspaper is offering users a free one-month trial which started yesterday before a subscription paywall goes up on Oct 10.

Users will have full access to all content on the digital platforms during the trial, including videos and photo galleries.

You can register for a free trial account via Wanbao Online at wanbao.com.sg, or through the Wanbao apps up to 11.59pm on Oct 9.

After that point, the paywall goes up and users will have to subscribe to use the online services.
