Wheel ripped off from flipped car at Ulu Pandan Road

A car turned turtle in an accident at Ulu Pandan Road yesterday.

The wheel on the driver's side was also ripped off.

Mr Philip Leong, 62, an air traffic controller, was driving on Ulu Pandan Road at 3.50pm when he saw the damaged car near the Clementi Road junction.

Mr Leong, who called The New Paper hotline, said: "I did not see the driver in the car and the traffic was quite bad at that time."

It is not known how the accident occurred, but the police said no other vehicle was involved.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman said it was alerted at 2.54pm.

Its spokesman said the driver, who had injuries on the left hand and a cut on the head, was taken to National University Hospital. - Lakeisha Leo
