Window to art in underpass

Pedestrians using the underpass connecting United Square and Velocity@Novena Square malls were greeted yesterday by a 60m-long mural called A Kaleidoscope Of Colours.

Property developer UOL Group installed the mural to raise funds for Very Special Arts Singapore (VSA), as part of the company's 50th anniversary celebrations. UOL has pledged $20,000 to support the activities of VSA.

The paintings were created by artists from the VSA, which provides people with disabilities the opportunities to access arts for rehabilitation and social integration.

Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth Sam Tan was present at the mural's installation yesterday.
