Woman, 25, arrested for vandalising police camera

SINGAPORE - A 25-year-old woman has been arrested for suspected involvement in vandalising a police camera at Block 105 Jalan Bukit Merah.

A member of public notified police on Jan 21 at around 3am that a camera located at the said block had been vandalised.

After extensive enquiries and investigations, officers from Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre's Crime Strike Force established the identity of the suspect and she was arrested along New Bridge Road at 7.30pm on the same day.

Investigations are currently on-going.

If charged, the suspect faces a jail term up to three years or a fine up to $2,000.
