Woman found dead on parapet of Swissotel hotel

SINGAPORE - The body of an Australian woman was discovered at the parapet of the second floor of Swissotel The Stamford today (May 30).

The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was pronounced dead upon arrival of the paramedics.

The body was removed by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

According to Channel NewsAsia, the SCDF was alerted to a case of fall from height at the hotel at about 2pm. An ambulance and a fire engine were dispatched to attend to the matter.

The woman allegedly fell from the 60th floor of the building and no foul play is suspected.

Investigations are currently underway.
