Update: The man arrested for the murder in a Tampines HDB flat was allegedly the victim's boyfriend.
The New Paper reported that he fled from the rented unit that they shared with other tenants, but police spotted him at the next block, some 10m away.
According to The Straits Times on Wednesday, a neighbour, Madam Lim Ai Lee, who lives on the eighth floor, said that she heard at least four different voices arguing loudly in heavily-accented Mandarin in the wee hours of the morning. But the 41-year-old teacher said she could not make out what they were arguing about.
The ninth floor ledge was also covered with blood this morning, which dripped to the ground floor, the paper reported.
Madam Lim said when she peeked out from her bedroom window, blood was dripping down the ledge from the landing, but she thought it was "red paint from construction work".
