SINGAPORE - In the largest seizure of Ice this year, officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) intercepted a 7.1kg shipment of the drug at about 8.30pm on Friday.
A 43-year-old South African woman was carrying the drug, which was wrapped in two bundles, in her luggage.
ICA officers noticed anomalies when her luggage went through an X-ray at the arrival hall of Changi Airport Terminal 3.
Upon checking, CNB officers found the Ice, believed to have a street value of $1.4 million.
