Workers' Party files motion for Daniel Goh to occupy vacated NCMP seat

SINGAPORE - The Workers' Party (WP) had filed a motion on Jan 15 to ask for the Non-Constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP) seat that was offered to Ms Lee Li Lian, to be declared vacant and for Associate Professor Daniel Goh to occupy it instead.

In a statement released by WP chairman, Sylvia Lim, the party added that the motion was filed by Secretary-General Low Thia Khiang.

Ms Lee, 37, was offered the seat after securing the highest percentage of votes among losing candidates during the General Election last year.
