SINGAPORE - Minister for Communications and Information, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, will attend the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) Ministerial Meeting in Brunei from Sep 10 to 11.
A Ministry of Communications and Information press release said that Dr Yaacob will deliver a statement on Singapore's Smart Nation development at the APT Ministerial Meeting, a platform for high-level discussion on ICT issues in the Asia-Pacific region. It is held every five years.
This year's APT Ministerial Meeting, themed "Building Smart Digital Economy through ICT", will focus on Smart Policy for Sustainable Growth of ICT and Economy; Safe and Secure Society through ICT; Enabling a Sustainable ICT Ecosystem for an Innovative Economy; and Business and Industry Related Theme.
Dr Yaacob will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Communications and Information and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore.
