Youths try to flee after allegedly stealing in West Mall

Two youths were held back by employees and security officers after allegedly stealing from a Challenger store in West Mall Wednesday afternoon (Apr 22).

Stomp contributor Stylie, who witnessed the incident, said it happened at around 2pm and the youths were apparently secondary school students.

The group had been waiting for the police to arrive when Stylie took a photo of the incident.

The Stomp contributor wrote:

"Two secondary school boys were caught red-handed while trying to flee after stealing something from the Challenger store at West Mall.

"Workers and a security officer were seen holding them back. They brought the boys back into the store while waiting for e police to arrive.

"I did not get to see what happened next."
