Changi Airport has been voted the top airport in a recent online poll conducted on AsiaOne.

Taking the runner-up positions in the "Top 10 Asia Airports" category in the People's Choice Awards 2008 was Hong Kong International Airport and Tokyo Narita International Airport.

The top three Asian airports were decided by AsiaOne readers, who cast over 11,000 votes in a survey spanning industries like motoring, health, fashion and food.

With some 37.7 million passenger movements handled in 2008, and the successful opening of Terminal 3 in January, Changi was the hot favourite in a category which included nominees like Incheon International Airport in Seoul, and Beijing Capital International Airport.

Changi Airport has racked up a total of 29 other awards in 2008 ? accolades like the Best Airport in the World award by Business Traveller (UK), and the Best International Airport award by Conde Nast Traveler.
