What videogame lets you have fun and stay trim at the same time?
Nintendo's Wii Fit, the quirky exercise game that has players skiing and doing yoga in a bid to stay fun and fit, is AsiaOne's game of the year 2008.
Available on the leading third-generation videogame console, the Nintendo Wii, Wii Fit comes with a unique Wii Balance Board peripheral. Gamers will have to use the board for most activities in Wii Fit, and the board can measure your weight, and give you your Body Mass Index too.
Being a two-in-one game must have left a lasting impression on AsiaOne's readers, with almost one-third of cast votes going to the Wii Fit.
Taking second place is American studio Rockstar's much-anticipated sequel to it's best-selling franchise, Grand Theft Auto IV.
The game, which is only available to a mature audience and released on three platforms - the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC - follows the story of Niko Bellic, an Italian mobster who finds himself starting a new life of crime in fictional Liberty City.
Coming in a close third with a mere 21 vote difference is Sony's Square Enix's Final Fantasy IV. Released as a remake for Nintendo's popular handheld console the DS, Final Fantasy is a classic turn-based role-playing-game and part of the best-selling Final Fantasy franchise. |
