24 consumer products and services win
AsiaOne People’s Choice Awards

Singapore, Feb 29, 2012 – A total of 24 consumer products and services, from over 200 nominees, emerged winners in various categories in the AsiaOne People’s Choice Awards 2011/12.

Over 150,000 readers' votes were cast from October to December 2011 to pick the winners, a 30 per cent increase from last year's Awards.

The categories of Best Chinese Restaurant, Best Private School and Best Wellness Provider attracted the most number of votes.

The Awards has been enhanced with new or revamped categories to reflect the growing diversity of choices for consumers in the market.

Mr Yeo Guat Kwang, President of the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) and Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio GRC, was the Guest of Honour at the Awards this evening.

Said Mr Yeo, "Winning over consumers is not just a popularity game, but an exercise in keeping up one's standards and constantly innovating to provide the best to one's customers.

Congratulating the winners, Mr Adrian Tay, Editor of AsiaOne, said: “They have every reason to be proud of their performance as this year's AsiaOne People’s Choice Awards saw stiffer competition due to the increased number of votes.

He added: “Our readers are not easily swayed by fancy advertising or gimmicks. So, coming in tops in the Awards is indeed an achievement.”

The Awards also provided a chance for AsiaOne to connect with trade partners and helped to strengthen their online presence, said Mr Tay.
