Nokia unveils new phones at Singapore launch
SINGAPORE - Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia unveiled five new phones and a number of new services at a launch party here on Monday (17 February 2009).
Among the new models announced were the Nokia E75, and E55, the company's first full QWERTY keyboard phones to ship with Nokia's new Ovi Mail service. The E75 is expected to ship in March while the E55 will be available in the second quarter of 2009
Nokia also announced the 6720 Classic and the 6710 Navigator, the latest in its series of candybar phones. The Navigator includes the latest improved version of Nokia Maps, and features a dedicated Navigator button.
The mobile phone maker announced that the 6720 Classic will be available in the second quarter of the year, while the 6710 Navigator will ship in the third quarter.
Also new was the Nokia N86 8MP camer phone, which combines wide-angle Carl-Zeiss optics and an 8-megapixel sensor. The N86 8MP will begin shipping in the second quarter of 2009. --AsiaOne
