Do you know that you can watch movies in hi-def on your PS3 as well?
Yes, your PS3 is also a Blu-ray Disc player, and you can watch movies so clear that you can see all the pores and blackheads on Tom Cruise's face!
No, Tech Chick is not lying. Here's how to do it:
First, get a Blu-ray movie, you can find them at most video stores.
Because Blu-ray Discs are NOT blue, be sure to look out for the Blu-ray logo when you buy! When you take the disc out of its box, you'll notice that it looks exactly like a DVD.
Why isn't a Blu-ray Disc blue? Tech Chick has the answer: this is because the "blu" in Blu-ray refers to the blue laser that is used to read the disc.
Once you have picked out your favourite Blu-ray movie in your hands (Tech Chick's current fave is Tropic Thunder, so funny!), put the disc into the disc slot.
If your Blu-ray movie doesn't start playing right away, go to Video on the PS3's interface and scroll down until you see a blue disc icon (it should read BD-ROM). Hit O (or X, depending on your PS3's region coding) to play the movie. |
