| June 2009 Singapore made its debut at the Kuala Lumpur leg of the 2009 Super Grand Touring (GT) race series over last weekend.
Melvin Choo, the Republic's top touring-car driver, represented American manufacturer Mosler Automotive. He drove its MT900R at the Sepang International Circuit.
The debut of the team at the Round 4 race finished at a respectable 13th position despite mechanical failures due to the heat.
Melvin Choo, co-driver for Thunder Asia Mosler Racing Team, said, "Disappointed but what an experience! We have a very good car and were doing well before the power steering failed. Even then, we were still at the 5th position."
"It was when the fuel pump failed due to the heat, that we lost 5 laps due to the time spent repairing the car," he added.
If you're looking to see the 600bhp monster Mosler up close, along with some eye candy, here's your chance.
