Hamilton comes in for pole position while Vettel takes P2 and Rosberg takes P3. But the qualifying was not without incident.
Rubens Barrichello, from Brawn GP, was on terrific form, having qualified for the top ten shoot-out, unlike his team-mate Jensen Button. Unfortunately Barrichello crashed out in the end and the car had to be towed out.
His crash caused the red flag to come out and the qualifying was halted. He was later demoted five places to 10th position because he had his gearbox changed after the final practice, violating regulations.
Romain Grosjean from Renault also had a few hairy turns during the first and second practice. He narrowly missed the concrete walls of the circuit. The rear end of his car slipped out quite a few times at Turn 3 as well.
However, this seems to be a perpetual problem as several other drivers, including Hamilton, have complained of the slippery track due to the dust from the construction works nearby.
Here are some of the highlights.
