MUNICH, Germany: BMW has officially revealed its new 5-series saloon, the sixth-generation in the upper-midsized saloon lineage.

Worldwide sales of the popular saloon will begin in March 2010 and we are set to get them a short three months after - though prices have yet to be confirmed.

The new saloon is based on a newly developed vehicle architecture that is shared with the BMW 7-series luxury saloons. Adding to the premium feel, the 5-series also shares extensive components with the 7-series.
