THERE was no lack of entertainment for spectators as the third night race in the world begun and came to an end some two hours later.

While the beginning was largely a procession, several incidents kept the order of the drivers moving.

McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton damaged his car heavily while trying to overtake championship leader Mark Webber in a Red Bull.

He had to park his car by the side and suffer the indignity of walking back to the paddock.

Further down the pack, BMW Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi crashed into the wall of Turn 18. Bruno Senna of HRT then failed to react fast enough and crashed into the parked Sauber, causing further damage. Both drivers had to retire.

We round up the pictures.
