CHIBA, Tokyo - An opening gala party was held for the Toyota 86, Toyota Motor's first sports car since 2007.

The proceedings were streamed "live" on the Internet. Clips that showed the company's president, Akio Toyoda drifting the 86 in snow and dirt, were screened.
