AN EYE-OPENING array of weapons was put on display yesterday as Singapore distributor Trussco unveiled a new generation of wireless Tasers.

These include the X-12 shotgun which has a longer range than a Taser gun, the wireless XREP cartridges with electrodes that can render a target stunned for 20 seconds and the Shockwave system that fires several projectiles and stuns multiple targets at the same time.

Also on display was the prototype of a shield which is designed to protect the holder while stunning those it comes into contact with. - my paper, 16 April 2009
