Nudity no biggie for Emma Yong

NUDITY? No big deal.

That is, for 34-year-old local actress Emma Yong, who sheds it all for director Glen Goei's new film, The Blue Mansion.

The black comedy-mystery, which opens on Thursday (Oct 22), is rated NC16 and features a scene where Emma appears totally in the buff.

Audiences will see her topless, but in order for the film to meet the NC16 rating requirements, the lower half of her body is pixelated.

"Being naked is not a big issue for me," said Emma, when interviewed by The New Paper at the recent Pusan International Film Festival.

The Blue Mansion was screened at the festival as part of the segment, A Window On Asian Cinema.

"As an actress, your face and body are your instruments," she continued.

"I'll never do a naked scene if it were gratuitous. In this case, it wasn't."
