Pakistani women pray at a shrine to soldiers killed by Taliban militants who stormed Pakistan's army headquarters in Rawalpindi on October 13, 2009.

Ten militants on October 10 drove up to the army command centre in the garrison city Rawalpindi, near the capital Islamabad, losing five members and killing six soldiers before grabbing 42 mostly military personnel, barricading themselves in a building armed with bombs, and demanding the release of about 100 militants.
