WHILE their husbands were wrestling with state affairs, some of the Apec leaders' spouses checked out the sights around town yesterday, including taking a spin on the Singapore Flyer.
Seven spouses - including Mrs Ani Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia, Mrs Selina Tsang of Hong Kong, and Ms Therese Rein, wife of Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - took to the skies.
Ms Ho Ching, wife of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and Madam Lee Ai Boon, wife of Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang, hosted the group, while Mrs Cheong Koon Hean, chief executive of the Urban Redevelopment Authority, played tour guide on the giant wheel.
