'Indian Super Queen' beauty pageant

Launched in Mumbai on January 11, the 'Indian Super Queen' beauty pageant is the first ever beauty pageant organised for the transgender community in India.

Such pageants are among the latest in a series of recent attempts to break down barriers for India's transgendered citizens.

The finals were held on February 21, 2010.
