Jack Neo wants to prevent future misunderstandings
Film maker Jack Neo has come out to apologise to his wife, family and fans on his blog, a day after a dramatic press conference where he acknowledged that he was unfaithful and was 'completely at fault'. In his letter, Jack also resolved to be faithful and work harder to ensure his marriage remains intact, and stated that he "would be more careful in my actions towards other women, to prevent any misunderstanding".
He expressed remorse for hurting his wife and kids, but is "touched" and "grateful" that his wife has chosen to forgive him. He referred to his public fall from grace as "retribution", and acknowledged that he "deserved it". "There is a saying: You reap what you sow. I often used the phrase in my movies, but I didn't expect it to apply to me,' the 50-year-old actor-director, in an open letter on his blog. He even wrote that his case is a warning to others to not ever believe that "you won't get caught doing things you shouln't", "because the heavens are watching". He called his experience a "painful but valuable realisation" to treasure his loved ones, and thanked his friends who have supported and encouraged him through this episode.
