Beckham in Afghanistan

On a surprise visit to Afghanistan, David Beckham said he was "humbled" by the bravery of the British troops.

The former England football captain's visit is the latest in a series of morale-boosting trips made by high profile figures.

Currently, Britain has around 10,000 troops in Afghanistan as part of an international force largely fighting the Taliban in Helmand.
