Knee-high flood water in Tampines carpark after heavy rain

Heavy rains flooded a carpark at Tampines Street 32 on Sunday, and waters to rise elsewhere in the East.

The downpour on Sunday also caused floods along at Bedok Town park road towards Bedok North Ave 3, as well as Tampines Ave 12 towards Pasir Ris Dr 1/TPE.

According to the Straits Times, the flooding occurred mainly in the eastern part of Singapore, and has wreaked havoc on a construction site in Punggol.

According to a reader, a partially completed bridge at the construction site of the Punggol Waterway project opposite his house collapsed under the weight of rainwater Sunday morning.

Pictures sent in from a reader who was in Orchard Road - which experienced severe flooding the last time - show no build up of flood waters.

According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), the moderate but widespread showers are expected to continue till midnight.
