US singer Lady Gaga performed at a charity concert in Chiba, near Tokyo on Saturday, June 25. The MTV Video Music Aid Japan was held in support of the victims of the March 11 tsunami and quake disaster.
Other Korean and Japanese artistes, such as girl-group AKB48, Tokio Hotel, SHINee and Girl's Generation performed at the concert alongside Gaga.
Despite her public support for Japan, Lady Gaga is currently entangled in a lawsuit in which she is accused of pocketing tsunami relief money earned from the sale of her "We Pray for Japan" wristbands.
