According to various news reports, luxury prisons have been built in certain provinces.

It is reported that sacked officials are jailed in these institutions, which boast facilities such as basketball courts, parks and even conference centres.

Ningxia Yinchuan Prison and Ningxia Women's Prison cooperated to hold an even which would allow families of prisoners to meet.
