Highway runs through skyscraper

What do you do when there's no room for a road? Build it through an office block of course.

That's what resourceful Japanese engineers decided to do at the Gate Tower Building in the city of Osaka.

The 16-storey office block has a busy fly-over running straight through it, where the fifth, sixth and seventh floors of the building are taken up by the Umeda Exit of the Ikeda Route of the Hanshin Expressway system.
