Chinese officials draw flak for 'floating inspectors'

They have done it again. Apparently not having learnt from their mistake last year, Chinese officials were once again caught Photoshopping themselves into photographs.

In a picture published on the Yuhang government website (www.yuhang.gov.cn/), five people seem to be floating in the air while looking at a green belt on a picture dated May 8.

It was attached to a news piece titled 'Completion and Transfer of the Green Landscaping Project of Nanhu Beach Park'.

Netizens were quick to deride the badly doctored images, saying that their government leaders must have all learned how to “airwalk”.

As a result of this incident, the Hangzhou Yuhang government posted an apology on their website on May 18.

"We made a serious mistake in operation. We are deeply sorry," the company responsible for the landscape project said in a statement. It admitted that the picture was modified on Photoshop because the original two were not "good."

A similar Photoshop gaff went viral on the Internet in 2011, when a picture of three officials in Huili County, Southwest China's Sichuan province, was so clearly edited on Photoshop, with their feet floating above an ungraded road.
