A new Chinese model has become one of China's hottest internet icons after turning up at a car show in a skimpy outfit which left very few parts of her body to the imagination.

Since photos of Wu Xi Er were uploaded on the internet, she has become one of the top trending topics on Weibo, a popular Chinese site similar to Twitter. Wu has also been given the nickname 'Si Lulu' by netizens for her resemblance to another internet icon, Gan Lulu.

The word 'Si', which also means 'wet', is meant to imply that she is a parody version of Gan, whose name contains the Chinese character for 'dry'.

Wu's Weibo page has become a hit with netizens, who have flocked to the site to obtain pictures the model uploaded of herself.

In early 2011, Gan Lulu became an internet sensation after her mother uploaded a nude video of her on the internet. The troubled mother and daughter duo then had a public fight during a television interview, causing them to become famous overnight.

Chinese netizens are now curious to find out if Wu Xi Er, who appears to adopt the same skin-baring philosophy as Gan in her dressing, will cause the next controversy in Chinese entertainment.
