Katy Perry kicks off post-race celebrations with electrifying performance

SINGAPORE - Dressed in a sexy black, yellow and white race inspired mini dress and black Converse kicks, California-raised bomb-shell Katy Perry raised temperatures last night.

She gave an electrifying performance, with a billboard number one lineup of hits including "Hot 'N Cold," "Teenage Dream" and "I Kissed a Girl."

She was a fitting act to mark the end of this year's three-day F1 festivities - which included headliner stars such as Jay Chou, Adam Levine and Noel Gallagher.

For just one hour on Friday night, king of Mandopop Jay Chou performed at the Padang for the 2012 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.

The 33-year-old Taiwanese singer-songwriter was in pretty good form, reported The Straits Times.

Jay belted out familiar tunes, particularly older hits such as "Can't Open My Mouth".

Lead singer of American rock band Maroon 5 Adam Levine blew audiences away with their closing music act of the second day.

Singing hits such as She Will Be Loved and This Love, he had fans screaming as he hit the high notes effortlessly.

But the highlight of the evening came when Levine performed speedy solo runs on a selection of electric guitars, giving main guitarist James Valentine a run for his money.

According to organisers, the crowd size was estimated to be at 35,000.
