'Narcissistic' second-generation of China's wealthy infuriate netizens

A young woman by the name of Gao Yue Er has sparked public outcry against China's wealthiest young people.

She probably did not see this coming but Gao has infuriated netizens with posts of her lavish and opulent lifestyle.

Chinese netizens have nicknamed her "Gao Mei Mei" and lashed out at her, calling her narcissistic and a show-off.

Purportedly a staff member of municipal government office in Beijing, Gao's posts of branded handbags and fine dining eventually led to an online bashing of children of China's nouveau riche.

Ever since then, photos posted by China's young and rich have spread like wild fire, with many drawing flak and criticism.

A series of photos even shows a group of friends posing with wads of cash and burning the notes with an open fire.

These photographs caused netizens' anger to rage on against China's wealthiest families, and spurred them to seek out more pictures posted by wealthy youths leading very extraordinary and over-the-top lives.
