Flashback: Revisiting childhood games

SINGAPORE - Ever heard of Bola Tin, Gasing, Hoop Wheeling or Tick-tock? These are names of traditional games that were played in the past.

Despite the popularity of technology driven games nowadays, these old school toys and fun-making are still present and some are even making a come-back.

Walking past a playground in the heartlands, you might see chalk-drawn hop-scotch markings on the ground.

Elsewhere, you might catch a group of girls in their twenties enjoying a game of Five Stones made with colourful batik prints.

Though these games look simple, they still bring bouts of fun and joy to the people playing them.

Through this gallery, we take a look at vintage photographs of how these traditional games were played as past-times.
