SINGAPORE - Putting aside the drama in the early part of the day, Mr Kenneth Jeyaretnam and the Reform Party focused on their "no more broken promises" theme on what was a wet and soggy night.

But while they spent a lot of time talking about the PAP's promises, the party also had some tough words for the Workers' Party. Mr Jeyaretnam and several speakers argued that to make the case of why the Reform Party needs a voice in Parliament.

There was also several mentions of Mr Jeyaretnam's father, Mr JB Jeyaretnam, as speakers urged voters to let the RP chief continue the legacy of his father.
