Eighty one per cent of Punggol East voters have already voted so far, said the Elections Department in its latest update.

It said that as of 5pm, 81% of the 31,469 registered voters had already voted, with three hours to go before polls close at 8pm.

Residents continued to head to the polls in the afternoon to pick their Member of Parliament for the single member constituency.
