Street vendors and restaurant owners brawl in Beijing food street

The brawl in Beijing's Gui Jie (Ghost Street) allegedly took place between street vendors and restaurant owners on May 12, 2013.

Beijing's Gui Jie is a hugely popular restaurant street lined with over one hundred eateries. In the video, it was not clear who or what started the brawl.

The two sides were seen hurling chairs, rocks and metal rods while the outnumbered policemen tried their best to calm the rioters down. They made no arrests and merely held back the angry vendors by their shirts. A little girl even joined in the rioting, throwing several bricks at restaurant windows.
