The thing about selling premium cars is that the whole package has to be so much more than just the car. And at the Mercedes Benz Center, you definitely get more than "just the car".

Since its launch in February 2006, the Mercedes Benz Center has played host to fashion shows by La Perla, Kenzo, and Raoul, art exhibitions, plus FIFA World Cup and Formula One screenings.

A fortnight ago, Singapore's glitterati gathered to celebrate the second birthday of this playpen for well-heeled, with celebrities like Andrea Fonseka, Hossan Leong, Andrea de Cruz and Qi Yi Wu mingling freely with guests.

The champagne from Moet flowed freely, with bongo boy Budi and DJ Dave Tan laying out the grooves as fire dancers lit up the evening's proceedings.

The highlight of the evening: a Spring/Summer collection fashion show by Spanish luxury brand, Loewe.

Now if only we could throw parties like that...
