| It was the women in power who got the nod as readers' top picks of Asian women who made the headlines in 2007. Leading the list was Ho Ching, CEO of Temasek Holdings and wife of PM Lee Hsien Loong. Not a surprising choice, as she was listed as business magazine's Forbes 3rd most powerful woman in the world. Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi was AsiaOne's readers' second choice if women newsmakers who made the headlines. The third Asian woman who made headlines on AsiaOne for 2007 was Miss World winner, Zhang Zilin, from China, for winning in a contest that is usually dominated by Caucasian or Latina beauties.
