Set sail from Halong Bay

For AsiaOne reader Ethan Lee and his wife, UNESCO World Heritage site Halong Bay was the perfect setting for a tranquil and serene experience.
From motorcycles cramped with livestock to the calmness of the waters by the isles, they had the opportunity to witness the rural lifestyle and see how locals lived.
Another highlight of their trip was their one night stay in a boat. Worried about the "harsh waves" that might affect their night, Ethan and his wife took their chances and experienced a night by the sea, instead of the conventional hotel stay.
