It's time to start booking those flights.
There will be four long weekends in 2018, but Singapore residents can enjoy a total of 32 vacation days (including weekends), using just five days of annual leave.
This is based on the 11 gazetted public holidays next year released by the Ministry of Manpower on Wednesday (April 5).
There are four holidays which fall on either a Monday or Friday, they are:
1. New Year's Day (Mon, Jan 1)
2. Chinese New Year (Fri, Feb 16)
3. Good Friday (Fri, March 30)
4. Hari Raya Puasa (Fri, June 15)
However, five holidays fall on either a Tuesday or Thursday, meaning you could utilise five days' of leave to get five more long weekends. Yay!
Now the next question is, where should you go?
AsiaOne has put together a guide to a list of top long weekend destinations, according to you, our readers. We've kicked things off with Bangkok and Malacca, but the cities will be unveiled throughout the year, so keep those responses coming!
